Royal Mail has launched their latest range of stamps – paying homage to the great names in British fashion!

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
Four time “British Designer of the Year” Alexander McQueen. Began his career with an internships with tailors and theatrical costumiers “Angels and Bermans”. This raven-style, black feathered outfit reminded Alexander McQueen fans of his roots.

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
Appointed ‘Dame’ in 2006 for her contribution to the British fashion industry. Her stamp shows the signature tartan prints and flaming red hair.

PAUL SMITH
Paul Smith’s collections are usually easily identifiable by the multi-colour stripes throughout all his collections. Starting small in his hometown of Nottingham, England, Smith has now gained a significant international following.

Artist Gordon Young, in association with leading design agency Why Not Associates, created the Blackpool Comedy Carpet. Gordon also designed the climbing towers that greet visitors as they arrive from the M55 motorway – his work is all about creating art, which has relevance to its surroundings.

850 writers and comedians are represented on the Comedy Carpet – with letters ranging in size from a few centimetres to almost a metre tall so that the laughs can be enjoyed from all sides and from both close up and at height from the Tower.

About this font

GlassLight was designed in 1912 by Franz Paul Glass for the Genzsch & Heyse foundry. The font is designed with a lot of decorative elements to go along with the font.  Swashes, endletters and smallcaps are included to the set to make it complete. These fonts can and should be mixed with more contemporary fonts for optimal graphical results.

NMG Consulting is a specialist, multinational consultancy focused on the insurance, reinsurance and investment sectors. They needed a range of brochures designed for their Middle Eastern management programs. Using passport stamps in the design, we showed the date of the brochures,  also giving the feel of international services.

BlueFire delivers enterprise grade IT infrastructure and services.  BDD Creatives were engaged to revamp the existing logo, create a range of product websites,  brochures,  illustrated icons for all their online products, iPhone / iPad App graphics and icons and ongoing marketing and sales support documents.

In addition to creating all of BlueFire’s product marketing collateral, We maintain their corporate brand across many mediums. including print, web and events – across a large group of partners and resellers.

We revamped the BlueFire logo to give them a more ‘established’ feel, they wanted to keep as much of the logo as possible as they have such strong brand recognition and brand loyalty built up over the years of being at the top of their industry. So we decided to bring in greys to replace the existing blues to strengthen and make the logo more contemporary and change the orange Flame to red, thus making the brand ‘hotter’ a progression from the previous brand identity.

Whilst working with BlueFire over the last couple of years, we have created a vast suite on icons to be used online and in print, below are a few examples;

We have also worked on the look of the BlueFire App layout and icons, these icons were also used across the Dimension Data similar App;

We also created a brand for BlueFire’s new Cloud product ‘BlueFire Cloud’ This projected included creating the overall brand logo, plus a range of product logos to support the products.

the Patisserie specialises in wedding cakes and special event cakes, but also run a Patisserie and cafe 7 days a week.

The Cake boxes were made with white board and cmyk printing, the feature side panel of colourful stripes, is mirrored in the cafe itself, all along the internal side wall.

The branding followed through to the business cards and stationery, the business cards also being use inside the cafe at point of purchase and on table with bills.

We also created a website for Batch, which included a Content Management System so they could upload new cakes and menus each week, there was also an online shop for people to pre order cakes and pastries, then pick them up on a particular day!

BDD Creatives have worked with many high-profile Wine Companies to design new identities or refresh existing ones.  Creating packaging for a wide range of  wine labels both domestic and for the international markets.

Rivergum Wine label Range; the labels were designed to show the unique make-up of the Rive Gum trees, the leaves in Spring, the bark in Winter… the distinctive leave and berry of the River Gum tree was used in the logo.

McWilliams Wines ‘The Anniversary’ bottle is a limited edition Vintage Port that would be sold in a wooden box, it need to portray the history and uniqueness of the product.

Redvale Wimes is a range of wines for McWilliams Wines. The range comes from the Redvale region, which is a beautiful hilly area, the labels reflect the sunsets and sunrises over the horizons,

Greedy Hen – As you can tell by the name, this range of wines are to appeal to the light hearted, the label needed to be eye catching on the shelf, using the ‘fat hen’ allowed the label to have the size for the content and reflect the humor of the name.

Bombshell – the design had to appeal to women, yet reflect the edgy name without being tacky.

Leaf Street, a wine label to depict the crisp, clean taste of Semillion Sauvignon Blanc…

The Dimetapp adult cold and flu brand offers  a range of products which help relieve the symptoms of cough, cold and flu. The packaging needed to be eye catching on the shelf amongst a huge range of other competing products, it also needed to instantly attract the eye and tell the consumer what the product is for – also the design has to stand the test of time, with medications, consumers learn to trust a brand – so have strong brand loyalty.

Colour coded panels on the inside highlight the capsules for day and night use.
